The Brackish Water Rafters Club was established years and years ago. From its humble beginnings and staunch founding base, the club has grown from strength to strength.
Members include Liberal Back Benchers, Whelshpool Fitters and Turners, Vexillologists, Baristas, Artists, Concreters and Tree Fellers.
Their latest journey, in association with the two adventurers DIRK & JAMES, was to navigate the upper reaches of the Swan River in Western Australia by wooden pallet raft.
The two young men gathered supplies, packed tools and fixings into their motorcars, and set off on Monday the 21st of February.
The Raft was constructed from found materials with no expense.
The trip lasted 3 days and 19 nautical miles.
The aim of the journey - to reinstill the sense of boy hood adventure so many young people have lost.
Not through any fault of their own, but of their Fathers.
These days boys are given little or no guidance on how to grow up to be a man.
